Prerequisites and Target Audience

This web-based seminar is intended for educators and administrators with 0 to 3 years of experience participating in program evaluation.


The purpose of this course is to prepare educators and administrators to lead program evaluation studies.

Learning Outcomes

  • can define the scope of an evaluation study.
  • can design an evaluation study.
  • can operationalize evaluation constructs.
  • can collect or obtain evaluation study data.
  • can clean evaluation study data.

  • can prepare a useful evaluation study report.


The topics covered during the NCLEX® Program Reports 320 Seminar are:

  1. Defining the Scope and Cycle
  2. Creating Effective Evaluation Questions
  3. Evaluation Paradigm (Quantitative vs Qualitative vs Mixed)
  4. Evaluation Design
  5. Operationalizing Evaluation Constructs
  6. Collecting Program Evaluation Data
  7. Analyzing Program Evaluation Data
  8. Synthesizing and Interpreting Program Evaluation Data


The NCLEX® Program Reports 320 Seminar is delivered as a 2.5-hour lecture and a 30-minute Question and Answer session. Participants are expected to independently complete a 30-minute end-of-course assessment immediately after the seminar concludes.

Continuing Education

3.5 contact hours are awarded through the Alabama Board of Nursing (Provider Number ABNP1516 Expires 2/4/2025) to all individuals completing the seminar and the end-of-course assessment.
