103 - Understanding the Topic Area Performance of your Candidates

This is the third course offered as part of the web-based, self-paced NCLEX® Program Reports Introductory Series. The Introductory Series is intended to familiarize nurse educators and administrators with the NCLEX® Program Reports.

Prerequisites and Target Audience

In order to receive continuing education credit, attendees must have completed the 101 web-based course "A Brief Introduction to the NCLEX Program Reports" and 102 web-based course "Understanding the Overall Performance of your Candidates".

This course is recommended for nursing educators and administrators who participate in program evaluation activities or have an interest in analyzing their NCLEX® Program Reports.

Purpose

The purpose of this course is to scrutinize the NCLEX® Test Plan and Content Dimensions Reports and enhance participants' understanding of NCLEX® percentile ranks. This course is the final part of a three-part course series intended to be the online counterpart to the face-to-face 100 course "An Introduction to the NCLEX Program Reports".

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  • Define the contents of the NCLEX® Test Plan and Content Dimension sections of the NCLEX® Program Reports.
  • Understand the differences between traditional percentile ranks and NCLEX® percentile ranks.
  • Differentiate between functional areas and content dimensions and describe the hierarchical relationship between them.

Format

The NCLEX® Program Reports 103 course is delivered as a web-based, self-paced course that can be accessed through Mountain Measurement's learning management system, Canvas. Participants are expected to complete a 10-minute end-of-course assessment immediately after the course concludes. Participants are invited to attend a synchronous web-based Question and Answer session that the presenters host twice each year.

Materials

All participants are encouraged to have a copy of their NCLEX® Program Reports ready to follow along with the Presenters.

Continuing Education

1.2 contact hours are awarded through the Alabama Board of Nursing (Provider Number ABNP1516 Expires 2/4/2025) to all individuals completing the webinar and the end-of-course assessment.
