Prerequisites and Target Audience

While some more basic topics are covered and may be appropriate for nurse educators and administrators with little to no experience in curriculum mapping, this web-based seminar is intended for educators and administrators with some experience in curriculum mapping.

Purpose

The purpose of this course is to provide educators with instruction on how to identify opportunities for program improvement by linking NCLEX® Program Reports' outcomes to a program's curriculum and instruction.

Learning Outcomes

Upon seminar completion, participants can:

  • analyze individual courses using the NCLEX® Program Reports and syllabus/curriculum mapping techniques.
  • analyze the curriculum using the NCLEX® Program Reports and syllabus/curriculum mapping techniques.

Format

The NCLEX® Program Reports 340 Seminar is delivered as a 2.5-hour lecture and a 30-minute Question and Answer session. Participants are expected to independently complete a 30-minute end-of-course assessment immediately after the seminar concludes.

Continuing Education

3.5 contact hours are awarded through the Alabama Board of Nursing (Provider Number ABNP1516 Expires 2/4/2025) to all individuals completing the seminar and the end-of-course assessment.
